Old
new love
He was cold and his body shivered helplessly even thought he burned like
fire.
Trying to hide from the unmerciful day light that entered the room he
shut his sleepy eyes. He wished it was still night or that he could afford
heavier drapes for his windows.
Tender and caring hands caressed his sweated face wiping it with a cool
cloth. He tried in vain to keep his eyelids opened for more than a couple of
seconds. But he manage to catch his lover’s calm, sparkling and reassuring
blue eyes. He felt safe.
And so he dreamt about their last and first night together...
They’ve been working almost all day and all night. They were tired and
decided to go to the river instead of the bath house to clean themselves. The
night was warm and just a slight breeze made its presence in the air. They had
made a camp site, had dinner by the moonlight, rested under the stars...poured
their souls and hearts...only to find out an old but shy new...how much they
loved and needed each other... They had kissed and hold and caressed and teased
and made love...and they promised to stay together as long as life allowed them
to be...and than it started to rain....but they didn’t care...because there
was love...
And now he tried to wipe his mouth from all those raindrops...
“Please Nate...drink it...it’s just water. It’ll help to break the
fever.”, it was not rain... and he was not out in the open anymore...he was in
the comfort of his lover’s arms, who was tending to him...he was a healer
needing to be healed...but he knew what medicine was best for him ... So he
drank the water, washing his mouth from the awful taste of sickness.
He turned his head towards his loving nurse, seeking comfort in his fresh
smell and warm skin. All he wanted was a kiss...a lingering and sweet kiss...
As if reading his mind the other man craddle his nape, angling his face
up, as he gently started to respond to his beloved’s simple desire. As the
gesture intensified a moan escaped through his lips.
“Josiah...love...” and with this he
felt asleep again, certain that last night was not only a dream but a
real thing...
As Nathan slept to heal from the flu, Josiah laid down by his side,
watching his beautiful features, happy they finally had discovered their
feelings.
